Playing with Touch Designer — which I do not know how to use. Thinking about the (real) woolly mouse, which is the first step towards resurrecting the (extinct) woolly mammoth. Reading about the woolly mouse got me thinking about the rollback of trans rights in the US and the ban on puberty blockers here in the UK. I don’t think they’re that linked… or I’m still curious about how my brain layered the two, but I think it’s something to do with bodily autonomy, scientific priorities, media sensationalism, what types of (bio)diversity are celebrated and which are villanised, necropolitics, hybridity, ideals of progress, who counts, who gets to come, under what conditions, how we’re letting the world burn and trying to think our way out of it…………… something like that.
