For one year, I wrote as much poetry as possible.
I set out to write as often as I could, about whatever was on my mind — not stopping to monitor quality or edit. At the end of the year, I decided to pass it through “Voyant Tools,” an open source text analysis software.
Voyant Tools is a web-based platform which you can access for free at voyant-tools.org. It was developed by Stéfan Sinclair and Geoffrey Rockwell as a “labour of love” for digital humanities academics, but also for the general public. It is designed to help you read and interpret written texts by producing visual maps of key terms and phrases.
